I believe I was the one (or at least one of) who recommended Manifest. We love it and are so glad it was (finally) renewed for a 4th season. It was originally planned for 6 seasons but NBC cancelled it after it's 3rd season; it was only renewed due to fans putting it at the top of the Netflix streaming charts for about 2 months (it's now one of the most streamed shows EVER on Netflix). I'm so glad it got renewed so they can tie up some of the story lines and hopefully give us a good ending since season 3 ended with a whole bunch of cliffhangers.

FYI - Some people kind of lost interest in season 2 but stick with it. Season 3 was must-watch (i.e. - LIVE) for us and we can't wait for season 4

RE: New Shows. I was kind of intrigued by Ordinary Joe but I'm kind of burnt out on new shows from NBC after what they did to Manifest and Good Girls. Let me know what you think - we may end up watching it if you give it a green light.

I too am interested in The Wonder Years. I loved the original and was very excited to see that Dule Hill and Don Cheadle will be in this one. I'm excited to see it.

None of the other new shows intrigued us. The returning shows I'm most excited about are

"A Million Little Things" (one of our favorite shows; it doesn't hurt that it stars David Giuntoli (Grimm) and James Roday (Psych);

"This is Us" (of course);

"Big Sky" (love this show, another must see same day);

"The Rookie" (how can you go wrong with Nathan FIllion?; plus they had some good story lines about policing issues like racism last season);

and "The Equalizer" - Queen Latifah is SO SO good in this

After the first episode of Ordinary Joe the jury is definitely still out. I'll give it another week or two but so far...meh. Definitely excited about A Million Little Things - that starts this week I think! And This Is Us isn't back until January - LAME. I love The Rookie because yes, Nathan Fillion.

One more show to talk about. We've recently started watching (finally) "Schitts Creek". Not sure why I never watched it when it was on originally, but had heard so many good things about it. We are both so glad we started watching it as it is so funny and the characters are so good: our favorites are Dan Levy (as David) and Emily Hampshire (as Stevie) but all the characters are so good. Every episode has us laughing while also connecting to the characters. If you haven't seen it yet, it's streaming on Netflix and we (Philip and I) both highly recommend it.

I'm just not there with that one yet. Another friend was talking to me about it today and I don't know...something about it just doesn't work in my brain. Maybe later...
