Song of the day:
Video of the day:
I neglected this blog for a few days because sleep has been a chore and adding one more thing at night or in the morning was just too much. As some of you know, I’ve been dealing with a rash on my legs for a couple of months now, and the itching is making me crazy. It distracts me during the day, it wakes me up at night, and apparently, there’s not a whole lot to be done. Cool.
I’m on my third ointment, and have new creams and lotions and soaps, but so far, the rash persists, as does the itching. I finally got to see the dermatologist in person last week and she said it could be from inflammation - wouldn’t that have been nice to know in December - anyway, she suggested I wear compression socks during the day and that I get a footrest for my desk. So, I procured those items this weekend and we’ll see how this week goes. But truly, I’m frustrated. It shouldn't be this hard to get rid of a rash.
Getting older is such a treat. And later this week, I get to add another year. Yay.
I don’t normally have an issue with turning a year older, and I’ve never been one to lie about my age, but this year it actually FEELS like I’m getting older. Between the rash and the CPAP and the too-much-gray-hair-because-the-salon-has-been-closed and the never-ending pandemic, 53 seems a LOT older than 52. At least the salon is open again and I can safely take care of the gray hair. That’s something, right?
But enough of that…as I am on the cusp of 53 I thought I’d do some lists this month…53 of my favorite things, let’s say…no, just kidding…that’s way too many things…I’ll just do top 25…so here we go!
Top 25 Animated Disney/Pixar Movies (in alphabetical order, because actually prioritizing them would be impossible)…and yes, I chose a few franchises rather than the individual films…it’s my list…I’m allowed. :-)

Finally, today is the first day of Black History Month. I encourage you to learn something new, dig into a Black author’s book, seek out Black creators, amplify Black voices. Here’s something I learned about this morning: Middle Passage Ceremonies and Port Markers Project.
Until tomorrow…
I am also dealing with a strange rash, although the ointment prescribed by the doctor does seem to be clearing it up. Fun times.
Have you tried natural remedies for the rash or inflammation? I highly recommend Turmeric pills.
