I’m throwing it all the way back to last night when I got to participate in a town hall meeting with my congresswoman and the one and only DR. FAUCI!! It was pretty awesome. The man is an absolute rock star and a real life superhero. Participants submitted questions in advance and he answered a ton of them. He said over and over again how important it is to get the vaccine, and he also said if you’re eligible for the booster to get it. He also said that Pfizer submitted a request yesterday to make the booster available for everyone 12 and older regardless of age or situation. So get ready, folks, and get your booster shot! Dr. Fauci also let us know about a brand new community toolkit for addressing health misinformation. If you or someone you know are hesitant about getting the vaccine I suggest taking a look at this. It’s got some great information and tips.
May I also just say that I love how perfectly not organized Dr. Fauci’s background is? Because I love it. I really do.
Looking a little further back…two years ago yesterday was the last time I attended a concert. Some days that seems like yesterday and others it seems like 10 years ago. Switchfoot recently wrapped up a tour and it’s the first time in a long time I didn’t see it at least once. The tour didn’t come to this part of California - likely because our COVID-19 rules for events are much stricter (which I like) - and I had no interest in traveling to see them, as I have in the past. I’ll probably catch them again someday but if not, the two concerts I saw in the span of three days two years ago was a good way to go out. And the online shows since last fall have been fun. For now though, I’m on a five-month countdown to Coldplay.
