Vacation Monday
As some of may know, I’ve been on vacation since last Thursday and have spent most of that time with my dad and Frannie. They arrived on Friday and will depart later today. I hadn’t seen them since September of 2019, and it’s been a great weekend catching up and touring around the various sights of the Bay Area. We walked a lot, ate a lot, and had a great time. I hope it’s not another two years before I see them again!
It’s also been nice to be away from work for a few days and to have a short work week ahead. I think we all need those breaks every now and then, even if only for a day or two. On my first day of vacation, which was technically a holiday, I spent a few hours at AR Workshop in Santa Clara making the amazing porch sign you see below. It was so cool to see the whole thing come together and super fun to spend time with my friend Stephanie (the owner!). If you’re looking for a fun event for friends or family, I highly suggest booking a workshop. You can make wood signs of all shapes and sizes, blankets, and various other things. Y’all know I’m not all that crafty, but Stephanie and her team make it super easy. I’m already thinking about my next project.
Today is also the last day of working 100% remotely. Tomorrow begins a new world of working a hybrid schedule where I’m in the office three days a week and home the other two. I’ll also be working in a different office and in a different building, so there is going to be a lot of adjustment. I’m sure it’s going to take several weeks to get into the new routine and probably about that long to get the boxes unpacked and the stuff put away. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
I hope you all had a great weekend and wish you a great week ahead.
