TV Tuesday
As I mentioned in the last couple of posts, I’ve been watching a LOT of TV and movies, so here’s a brief recap…
Movies
Creed II - Discovered this was available on HBO Max so I took the time to watch, and it was good…I cried a lot! Very emotional. Pretty sure I liked it better than the first one. Now I MUST see Creed III, though I can’t imagine going to a movie theatre right now. I’ll definitely see it though.
The Fabelmans - Got this for $1 on Xfinity so that was cool. I’d wanted to see it in the theatre but never made it. I loved it! I understand now why it’s getting so many nominations. I thought Michelle Williams was brilliant, but really, the whole cast is great and it’s a good, good movie. Fair warning, it’s pretty emotional, too, and I cried a number of times.
TV
Not Dead Yet - This is a new show on ABC, and I’m enjoying it so far. The premise is fun and allows for a lot of entertaining interactions. The star is an obituary writer for a paper and each time she’s assigned something to write, the dead person appears to her - and only her. It’s been funny and sweet. I adore Gina Rodriguez, and she’s been great as the lead so far.
The Mandalorian - The new season started last week and oh man, the first episode was excellent! I truly adore this show, and can’t wait for this week’s episode! I won’t give any spoilers in case you’re also a fan but haven’t had time to watch yet.
The Masked Singer - This favorite started up again a few weeks ago, and it is as good as ever. They’ve had some amazing stars unmasked so far, and the costumes, as always, are fantastic. This show needs to run forever!!
BelAir - The second season of this remained Fresh Prince of BelAir started on Peacock, and I’m loving it so far.
Anne with an E - This show came out on Netflix a few years back, and I’d heard good things about it but didn’t have any interest. I watched the first two episodes, and they weren’t bad, but there’s a lot going on and a little goes a long way. It will take me a while to get through all three seasons. Any one out there watch this one?
Bones - Still watching a lot of Bones as I’ve now learned that two different stations play marathons every week. I forgot how much I loved this show!
Drop Dead Diva - This is is another show in reruns, now playing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and again, I forgot how much I enjoyed it. It definitely jumped the shark at some point but the first seasons are so good.
I’m sure there are other things that I’ve watched, but that’s what’s on the top of my head for now. What are you watching?
