Song of the day:
TV Tuesday
There’s not a whole lot new on TV these days but I found a few things to watch over the weekend…
Loot - on Apple TV+ - Maya Rudolph’s new comedy is fantastic! It’s funny and sweet with a phenomenal cast that’s wickedly talented. Fair warning, there is quite a bit of language, but beyond that it’s a pretty clean show so far. I binged the first five episodes over the weekend and saw today that it’s been renewed for another season. YAY!
My Grown-Up Christmas List - on, what else, Hallmark Channel - The first new Christmas movie of the year, in honor of Christmas in July, was actually pretty good. While it was predictable in many ways, as most of these movies are, it had a good flow to it and didn’t feel as cheesy as some of the others. If you like these kinds of movies, definitely check it out.
The Amazing Spider-Man - Yes, I finally watched the first Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie, and it was pretty good, albeit far too spidery. Usually there’s just the one 8-legged demon that bites our hero but this one had a lot more than that and I hated it. But the movie itself was much better than I expected it to be. Andrew Garfield was a good choice for the role, and now some of what happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home makes more sense. Now to watch the sequel…
