Song of the day:
Thankful Thursday
There is a lot of awful in the world right now, and sometimes it seems like there’s no way forward. Last night I learned that a co-worker’s mom has been moved to hospice and another colleague’s son was injured in a motorcycle accident. And that’s in addition to everything else going on. I think it’s even more important these days to find a few things to be thankful for, even it’s something as simple as being thankful for air conditioning or a cozy bed. So, here’s what I’m thankful for today:
Live musical theatre
Text conversations with friends
Cozy mysteries
Dinners with colleagues and friends
The way a song can evoke a memory; the way a photograph can do the same (see below for an exceptionally cool memory captured in a picture)
What are you thankful for today?
Video of the day:
I am so excited to be seeing this musical live again tonight. I saw it a few years ago in San Francisco and fell in love with it. Since it started streaming on Apple TV+ last year I’ve watched it several more times and still adore it. I’m equally excited to be sharing the fun tonight with some good friends. If you live in San Jose and haven’t seen this one yet, see if you can get a ticket…it’s only here for a short time so don’t wait…it’s worth it!
It's true, sometimes it is hard to find something to be thankful for but when we try really hard we end up with a list. Keep the positivity flowing.
That's a while ago. I had hoped to see Danny in Kansas but now he has moved to Tennessee so it would be doubtful.
Like the orange bug!
