Saying goodbye…
Today we say goodbye to my friend Amy’s mom, the wonderful and lovely Margaret A. Cobbs. She left us a few weeks ago and is now dancing in heaven with her dear husband David. It’s unfair that my friend has lost both of her parents, but we don’t have control over such things.
Margaret was a master seamstress, loved to line dance, didn’t drive, and was wholly devoted to her husband, daughter and grandson. She had a great smile and a wonderful laugh, and she and David raised an incredible daughter. I feel blessed to have known her. (and David)
Saying goodbye during a pandemic is frustrating because I can’t go to the memorial in person. Non-essential travel is still not advised in California so I will be joining many others attending the service via Zoom. But I’m so glad that Amy does get to have an in-person service. Many who’ve had love ones pass during the last year have not been able to do that. Still, I hate that I can’t be there.
You will be greatly missed, Margaret. Thank you for giving us your light for so long.
I'm sorry to hear about Amy's mom.
