Song of the day:
Well, it’s Monday again…
Technically I think we got here an hour earlier due to the changing of the time, but maybe we’re an hour later. My brain can’t quite work that one out but either way, we’re here.
My big adventure over the weekend was watching Disney’s new Pixar movie, Turning Red. Twice. It’s so good! It’s a shame it’s not in theaters and only on Disney+ but I’m hopeful that they will bring it out at some point. If you have Disney+, definitely make the time to watch. And if you don’t have Disney+, find a friend who does and see if you can watch it in a socially-distanced safe environment at their house. Because you need to see it. Even if you’re not a 13-year old Chinese girl in Canada in 2002. It’s relatable on so many levels. I truly can’t get enough and may watch it again tonight!
I also watched the new Netflix movie, The Adam Project, and it was good, too. It’s a vastly different movie, of course, but it was fun and filled with action, not to mention a great cast of people. Also there’s a cute dog so you know, winning. Definitely check it out.
I never made it to the movie theatre to see The Batman as I mentioned earlier in the week. Hopefully I’ll make it next week. I wasn’t feeling great on Friday so I just decided to stay in most of the weekend and rest. Going to the movie theatre felt far too people-y for me.
I’ll catch you up on a few other things in tomorrow’s TV Tuesday.
Anybody do anything fun over the weekend? Let me know in the comments.
I was…
Sad to learn that William Hurt passed away…I always liked him.
Irritated to learn that Tom Brady unretired…I have never been a fan.
Happy to see that Chicago dyed the river green again…always a cool thing to see.
Heartbroken and angry to learn about a woman in the middle of a miscarriage in Texas not being given treatment because it’s technically an abortion; she had to be flown to Colorado for the surgery…this is absolutely absurd.
Disgusted at a proposed bill in Missouri in which a woman with an ectopic pregnancy would not be allowed to medically end the pregnancy. I mean it might kill her to NOT do that mind you, and the fetus can absolutely not live outside of the uterus, but sure, this makes sense…honestly, why do so many lawmakers hate women so much? I could build a whole post on this for sure but for now, I’ll leave it there.
Have a great Monday, everyone!
