Miracles Happen
In case you’ve ever questioned the power of prayer or that God still performs miracles, let me give you an update on my neighbor, Mike. I got three updates over the weekend and suffice it to say, prayer works.
Mike is awake. He’s communicating with facial expressions and hand signals and even tried writing a few things. He’s still intubated so can’t try speaking yet. They’re hoping to extubate tomorrow.
A CT scan revealed some pneumonia which they are treating with antibiotics. Provided that all looks okay, in the next day or two, they’ll move forward with extubation.
His nephew said that he is cognitively improving every day and was even joking with friends who visited. He said, and I quote, “The doctors and nurses are completely floored at this sudden change in recovery that seemed to happen overnight…an improvement on a scale that almost nobody medically trained considered to be a likely outcome.”
Y’all. Prayer works and miracles do happen. I’m continuing to pray for complete healing and a full recovery and want to thank everyone who's been doing the same.
Helpful to know God is very aware of these days and in complete control even when it doesn't seem like it
