Before Christmas Day ends, I wanted to take a moment to say I hope you had a good day however you chose to celebrate (or not celebrate). I know this time of year can be hard for a variety of reasons, and for those who struggled today, please know you are not alone and it’s okay to be sad or angry or whatever other emotion you might have felt. I hope that when tomorrow dawns things look a little bit better.
I enjoyed the day with friends but ate way too much and now feel kind of miserable. My stomach is definitely angry with me but we’re working through it. Tomorrow I may just eat plain bread to compensate. The food was good though, don’t get me wrong. It was just very rich and my stomach is not amused. Thank goodness for ginger ale and Tums!
I walked outside around 10pm and it was snowing - and blowing - so while there was still a ton of snow on the ground, the fresh snow means we officially had a white Christmas. Which is sort of why you go to the mountains for Christmas, right? That, and to see good friends of course, and maybe a little wildlife, too.
