Song of the day:
Because here’s how the next few days are shaping up…
I am not amused…
Let me rant for a moment…
This rain…especially when accompanied by the wind, and sometimes even thunder and lightning, is getting old. It’s dangerous with its floods and power outages and people being stranded in various places, but also, it’s just annoying. Like I get it, we need the moisture for our drought, but this rain isn’t necessarily solving that problem because it comes down so fast and half of it blows away! And look, we admit it, we’re babies. We couldn’t live in Washington or Oregon or anywhere else where it rains every single day of the year. We want to support the rainforests, not live in them. Come on, Mother Nature, give us a break already! We pay a lot to live here because of the SUN, not this nonsense… // rant over

Weekend Activities
Tomorrow I’m volunteering for a NOH8 photo shoot, something I’ve done on several occasions. It’s been a few years so I’m looking forward to participating again. Afterward I’m meeting a good friend for lunch then I’ll probably come home and sit on my couch for the rest of the night…and possibly the next day, too. You know, because of the rain.
There’s a Sharks game Monday afternoon, and since we have the day off I plan to go to that. Afternoon games are always weird, but I haven’t been to a game sometime in December so I’ll be there.
That’s about it from over here. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to find time to rest.
Videos of the day…some favorite moments from the Golden Globes:
This speech was truly wonderful. And he deserved every bit of that award (and all the other awards, too!). Please enjoy.
I mean Angela Bassett…she’s simply awesome and will forever be the Queen of Wakanda.
And this was simply glorious, because she deserved that award, too, and every other award she’s won or is nominated for.
