#FridayReads

I finished Michelle Zauner’s memoir, Crying in H Mart, earlier this week, and y’all…it was fantastic. It was funny, heartwarming, sad, frustrating, and perfect. I learned so much about Korean culture, Korean food, and the struggles someone who is a blend of two cultures goes through at every stage of their life. I highly recommend this book!

Currently I’m reading The Comeback by Lily Chu, and it’s super fun. It’s a vastly different story from the one I just read, which I needed. This one’s a fun rom-com that’s involves a K-pop band. I mean how could I not, right? I’m only a few chapters in but I love it! It was originally released in audio only, and I’m so glad it’s out in paperback. It doesn’t technically come out until next week but for some reason my copy arrived a week ago. YAY!

I’ll be heading to San Francisco tonight to see Billy Porter in concert, and I can’t wait! This man can SING!! And he’s playing in one of the SF Broadway theaters, so that’s fun. This is my first concert of the year (missed one due to stupid COVID stupidness), and I’m excited.

#WeekendFun

Tomorrow I’m planning on seeing the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the final one in the franchise. I’ve been reading good things about it online, and I’m sure it will be fun. I’m also meeting a friend for lunch, and I can’t wait to catch up. Haven’t seen her since 2022!! I have no plans for Sunday, which is probably good because I’m going to need to rest up for the next week.
