First of all, thanks to everyone who has already subscribed to this new idea of mine. You are all YAY!! I’ve been thinking about what I want to include in these newsletters, and one of the things I’ve been doing for years is posting a song of the day during the week. I thought it might be fun to include those here every now and then, if not in every newsletter.
I started my Christmas songs of the day after the election, so we’re deep in it at this point. This is one of my favorites - this whole album, really. So, so good. And even though Third Day is no longer a band, the music lives forever.
Song of the day:
It’s the beginning of a short work week for me and that’s both great and hard. Sometimes the short work weeks get crammed with the work of a normal work week - okay, that’s almost always how it happens. And I end up working nearly 40 hours in three days - or doing work on the non-work days. I’m going to do my best to avoid that this time around. I’ll keep you posted.
I know most of us won’t be seeing friends or family this year for Thanksgiving, but I hope you are able to connect in some way, even if it’s via Zoom or FaceTime or something else entirely. I hope you stay safe and enjoy a time of reflection, thinking about what you’re grateful for, and what your hopes are for the new year. I hope you find time to rest and have some fun, to eat some good food, and watch a movie or two. Or ten.
I’m looking forward to finishing my decorating, making an obscene amount of Chex Mix, working on my Christmas letter and cards, and watching all the Hallmark Christmas I can stand. Which is basically all of the Hallmark Christmas.
Anyone else watching the Hallmark movies this year? What’s your favorite so far? Let us know in the comments. I’ve already got a few that I’ve saved to be watched again.
Christmas with the Darlings
Holly & Ivy
A Nashville Christmas Carol
A Christmas Doctor
Okay, I guess I better get myself ready for work. Have a great Monday, everyone!
Until next time…
Maybe not Halmark but .... ELF!!
I'm dying to see Cranberry Christmas. I need to make that happen.
