Song of the day:
February was a long month, ya’ll. It started off great with my trip to New York then took a steep nosedive into COVID, then post-COVID and finally, FINALLY, things are getting back to some semblance of normal.
I took 40 hours of vacation in February and 64 hours of sick leave. And of the few days I did work, only about 3 of them were full 8-hour days. It was rough, y’all. Please do whatever you can to NOT get COVID. It’s still out there and this latest variant seems to be particularly nasty. I know of four other people - including my mom and Frank - who recently got it for the first time, much like me, so don’t let yourself be fooled. It’s still very much a thing you can get. Please wear a mask and please be safe.
I’ve been released back into the world and will actually go into my office later this week for the first time in over a month. It’s absolutely bonkers how long I’ve been away.
I’m still taking those slow, as I have no time for any kind of relapse, but I did take myself to dinner on Friday night - I ate outside because I’m not ready to re-enter restaurants quite yet - and also picked up my new glasses which I’d ordered in January. That was definitely more than enough people-ing for one day so I came home and haven’t left the house since.
I actually thought I might go out for lunch one day on the weekend, but it was rainy and gross off and on so eating outside didn’t seem like a great option. I’ve grown very fond of my couch and enjoyed relaxing most of the last two days.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and wish you all a great week ahead. I hope to get back to more frequent posts now that that the virus has been evicted.

I’m so glad that you’re finally feeling better! How about your mom and Frank? (Especially Frank as his health is already a bit precarious)
