Well, all that excitement I had about hockey on Friday is completely gone. The Sharks are bad. They are now 0-4 to start the season, for only the fourth time in their history, the last being the 2019-2020 season. Friday’s game was at least close and there were some definite bright spots - okay, one bright spot: the goalie. Saturday’s game was…well, a hot mess. They go on the road now and who knows how that will go, but they need to figure something out because yikes.
Other than that my weekend was pretty calm. I didn’t even leave the house yesterday; only opened the door for Door Dash. But I got some errands done on Saturday and did a lot of relaxing. I even took an hour-long nap yesterday, which is pretty rare these days. It felt good. We don’t get enough naps as grown ups, and that’s a shame. They really are the best. I was a serious power napper in college when I worked 8pm-4am or 12am-4am shifts, but I don’t get to do those too much these days. Although, working from home two days a week does allow for a little more flexibility for power naps. And according to this short video, power naps are good! Maybe I need to work on incorporating them more…
