Song of the day:
Here we go again…
Today is my first day back at work since December 21. I’m glad it’s a work-from-home day because it’s gonna be rough. Thankfully most of my meetings are only with my staff, and they understand my life. Still…it’s a long time to be gone. We’ll see how how it goes…
I’m extremely grateful that I got my car back from the shop on Friday after several weeks of body work. It looks brand new! Now I kinda just want to leave it under cover until all the rain goes away…which could be a while. Still, it felt SO good to drive it after weeks of an automatic shift and no bluetooth connection (fyi - the body shop gave me a loaner which was an older model Honda therefore, no bluetooth…sad, but free). Thank you, AH Connection!!
After a pretty busy couple of weeks I decided to do basically nothing this weekend. Like I literally stayed in my pajamas and watched all the things on TV (more on that in tomorrow’s post) and only opened my door for Door Dash. It was spectacular. I fully believe everyone needs a weekend like that every now and then. Weekends are supposed to be for resting and rejuvenating, right?
Before I got my car back on Friday I had College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk here to cart away a lot of stuff that can hopefully be donated, including a lot of clothes and books. The purge felt good and now I need to reorganize and rearrange a few things. One thing I’m thrilled with are my new shoe racks from The Container Store. They were easy to put together and fit perfectly in this spot.
I also got my hair cut last week - finally - after completely messing up my appointment prior to my vacation. I think I lost a pound or two with all the hair he cut! It’s a bit shorter than I typically like it but it grows fast and definitely looks a lot better without the gray! Also, how cute are my pajamas?!
Finally, COVID. The new variant XBB 1.5 is spreading rapidly, and it’s imperative that we all remain vigilant. If you have not received your bivalent booster - get it as soon as possible. It’s possible there will be another one at some point, but at minimum you need to get this one. And you need to wear a mask, a good one, everywhere you go. Keep distancing as much as possible, wash your hands, use the hand sanitizer, and just be careful.

I just adore her!
And one more thing…Let’s Go, Frogs!!
(In case you didn’t know, TCU is playing Georgia in the NCAA Football National Championship game tonight. And you should be cheering for TCU.)
