Song of the day:
I spent my weekend praying I didn’t have COVID. I found out late Friday that I got exposed to someone at work a few days earlier. A home test Friday night was negative, but I decided to do a PCR test Saturday morning to be sure. In the meantime I cancelled a mani pedi, a facial, and going to a movie, which was a bummer, but I knew I needed to be safe. So I did all the laundry this weekend, watched all the things, and ate all the snacks. I did another home test Sunday evening since the PCR results hadn’t come back and was still negative. About an hour or so later the PCR results came in and were also negative - PRAISE GOD! And thank you science!! I am extremely thankful I got that second booster and, as my friend Amy says, I’m super thankful for that tiger blood that’s coursing through my veins.
So yeah, the pandemic is still out there, y’all. Please be safe. Please get that second booster when you’re eligible (or that first one if you haven’t yet). Wear a mask, a good one please, even if it’s not required.
I will be testing every day this week since I’m due to board a plane on Thursday to go see my mom. I was about to be super cranky if that got delayed or cancelled.
Anyway, how was your weekend?

Darnell Abraham, my favorite George Washington from Hamilton, has put together a beautiful tribute to Ukraine.
