Happy Friday, everyone!
It’s Friday, March 11 and that means new movies on streaming channels! I’ve been waiting for a while for Disney’s Turning Red, a new Pixar movie that was supposed to open in theaters at one point but then Disney decided to stream it exclusively on Disney+. I find it highly disappointing that they made this move, especially when Encanto did so well in theaters, but alas, here we are. I’ve read so many good things about this movie and can’t wait to see it. The previews got me excited months ago and now it’s here!
What’s also here is Netflix’s The Adam Project, starring the one and only Ryan Reynolds. The buzz on this one is great, and every preview has made me giddy with excitement. Someone who saw the premiere said it harkens back to the 80s sci-fi movies like E.T. and Flight of the Navigator. Well, sign me up! I loved those movies and can’t wait to pop some popcorn, curl up on the couch and press play.
There is a little movie in theaters that I’m planning to see this weekend as well. I wrote about it earlier this week and had hoped to see it before now but now I’ll be hanging with The Batman on Saturday night. I should have a lot to recap for you next week.
I think that pretty much sums up my weekend plans. Anything fun happening in your world?

I started a great book a few days ago, one I can hardly put down. If you’re looking for a good read I highly suggest The Unsinkable Greta James by Jennifer E Smith. This is her first non-YA novel and it’s a great one. Her YA novels are some of my favorites, so if you’re looking for that sort of book, she’s got a great collection available.
