21 Days 'til Christmas...

Yep, that’s right…just 21 days until it’s Christmas. Can you even believe it? That also means it’s only 28 days until 2024, which seems impossible. And yet, it’s happening. But before that New Year’s Eve clock chimes midnight, there’s still a lot going on this month. And for me, it started yesterday when I went to San Francisco with friends to see The Lion King. We’d all seen it before, but that didn’t dampen any of the magic. It’s truly a spectacular show and my favorite Disney-movie-turned-musical experience. We had a great time, but all decided that there should be a theatre etiquette course taught before people are allowed to come to a show. The woman in front of me got warned more than once about taking photos and video during the show - like really? The person next to me had no concept of personal space and pushed into my space throughout the show. The person next to one of my friends was on and off her phone throughout the show and talked to her family throughout as well. A lot of people were up and down during the show as well, more than I normally see at shows. And yes, this is a more kid-friendly show, and yes we went at a matinee, but I’ve never seen it this bad. Something must have been in the air. Or maybe I’m just getting old and cranky. Maybe I just prefer doing things in my house instead of a theatre. I don’t know. But thankfully, none of these distractions ruined the show for us. We had a great time.
I didn’t do anything on Saturday except lounge, which was delightful. I watched a lot of Christmas movies on both Hallmark and Netflix, and basically snacked all day. I didn’t hate it.
