I don’t remember writing letters to Santa, though I’m sure I did. I probably got my picture made with him, too, but I don’t remember that either. Well, that’s not true - I remember doing it once in college with a friend, but not as a kid. Maybe one of my parental units can chime into the comments to confirm one way or the other.

I do remember getting a couple of cool gifts from Santa though…like the Donny and Marie dolls and stage - and oh yeah, they were amazing. I also remember getting a piccolo, though to be fair, I’m pretty sure I was out of the believing in Santa phase of my life at that point but still, it was in my stocking, and that was pretty awesome. Do y’all remember any of your Santa gifts? Do you still do stockings?

I have some cool stockings that I hang up, but I don’t fill them for myself. Sometimes when I go to a friend’s for Christmas she fills a stocking for me, and that’s fun, but as a general rule they’re just for show these days. But come on, they’re super cute.

Last year in my office we hung mini stockings with our initials, and that was fun. We’re a little behind in decorating this year, but we’ll get the stockings up soon. Our fake fireplace is still standing and it’s still pretty awesome.
